Delegates planning to attend this year’s Nairobi Innovation Week will be in for an exciting experience.

The 2019 edition of the Nairobi Innovation Week (NIW) which will be held from June 10-14, 2019, comes with an elaborate programme including the first ever Ideation to Commercialisation Seminar and the Innovation Summit.

“Delegates to the Nairobi Innovation Week 2019 should expect an experience of the rebranded start-up agenda, the Innovation Challenge, the exhibitions will be punctuated with hackathons, there will be several seminars and events just focused on building innovation capacity and opening up paths that are supportive to ideations. The week will culminate in the Innovation Summit when winning innovators will be recognized,” announced the University of Nairobi, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi. “The Summit is a global gathering of business leaders, venture capitalists, innovators, start-ups, academia and policymakers coming together to learn, be inspired and network.”

Further Prof. Mbithi invited interested partners to join to support the event with resources, ideas, and side-events.

“We are inviting you to be our partners not only in executing but also in planning the Nairobi Innovation Week 2019,” he said. “I encourage interested Kenyans to also register to participate in any of the events.”

The Nairobi Innovation Week is an annual event that seeks to support and accelerate the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region. Core to NIW is the emergence of a strong start-up movement, supported by over 30 startup enablers in Kenya. The start-up initiative has become the nucleus of Nairobi Innovation Week.
