Ugandan rapper Navio has dropped his anticipated album ‘Strength In Numbers’.
Whilst most artistes would shy away from the obstacle of the Coronavirus pandemic, the good people of Navcorp have seen fit to keep the entertainment coming.
“Hip Hop is most alive in times of hardship. That is when we truly celebrate our Strength,” reiterated Navio.
Featuring Seyi Shay and Ice Prince from Nigeria, a lyrical showdown with Kenya’s Khaligraph Jones, Mozambique’s Laylizzy and Tanzania’s Joh Makini, Tanzanian siren Vanessa Mdee and some good Ugandan vibes with Daddy Andre, Mith and Flex d’Paper, Navio’s album boasts a phenomenal roster of acts.
Music producers include, Ellputo, Mopiano, Nessim Pan, Samurae, Mio Made, Aethan, Izaya and Mike Yangstar are but a few of the production credits this album has to offer.
“We will not come together physically but as a brotherhood of kindred spirits to celebrate the most anticipated African Hip Hop album,”Fernando Caraballi.
Distributed by Equity, a Roc Nation company, this album is set to do more internationally than his previous efforts. 100,000 units have already been made for the Ugandan market as East Africa and especially Uganda are still a CD album driven market.
‘Strength In Numbers’ album was released 25th of April 2020 and sales are anticipated to soar from there. Close to 4000 copies had gone out before midday on the day of release and the team anticipates great numbers for ‘Strength In Numbers’ moving forward.
Despite the title, Navio celebrates the common man and condemns people judging artistes by their online numbers, more than their actual skills and contributions to the industry.
