American singer Trey Songz shook the music scene when he dropped 2 surprise birthday albums.
It’s been more than a year and a half since the “Can’t Help But Wait” singer released a full-length project from Trey Songz. On Wednesday 28th of October 2018, Trey decided to bless fans with a pair of new mixtapes in honor of his 34th birthday titled ‘11′ and ‘28′ without any type of warning.

There is a whole lot of music in the two bodies of work, 10 slow and sweaty numbers with only Songz titled ‘11′, followed by 10 more sensual numbers with collaborators ranging from Swae Lee, 2 Chainz and Chris Brown in ‘28′.
Trigga didn’t hold back on the features for ’28’, whereas 11 serves as mainly a solo effort outside of assists from fellow crooners “Used To,” including vocals from Jacquees, 2 Chainz, O.T. Genesis, Shy Glizzy, Rich the Kid, Jeremih, Dave East, Chris Brown , “Say Aah” collaborator Fabolous, Ty Dolla $ign and Tory Lanez on the final track “Shootin Shots.”
According to Rolling Stone, Trey Songz maybe among RnB’s best artists struggling to remain relevant. “To be successful in the hip-hop and trap age, former RnB artists are losing themselves and despite the lengthy combined tracklists, there’s not much variation in tempo or style. It leaves little room for Songz’s vocal histrionics his trademark swooping singing.”
