Top 5 blockbuster movies every superhero fanatic should watch in 2018

Did you go to the movies this year? Well, you still have to catch up on some 2018 movies we recommend.

2018 has been a great year for movies at the box office. It was one blockbuster premiere after another, from Black Panther starring Lupita Nyong’o and Chadwick Boseman and Michael Jordan, Venom, Robin Hood, Incredibles 2, Mission Impossible: Fall out and Aquaman which is currently showing in theatres featuring Jason Momoa, its safe to say movie fanatics had an amazing array of content to watch and movie makers made big bucks.

Here are some of the 5 blockbusters of 2018.

Black Panther

As one of the best Marvel films released in 2018, it had a massive cultural significance. A mainstream blockbuster film with a black superhero and a predominantly black cast, coupled with a thrilling story, Black Panther covered themes of race, colonization, isolationism, exploitation and social justice like no other blockbuster had ever done. A box-office haul of $1.347 Billion makes it one of the most successful movies of 2018.

Avengers: Infinity War

The third film in the mighty Avengers franchise brought together a staggering pantheon of Marvel heroes to give us a film that was gargantuan in scale. The story was a fitting tribute to 10 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Infinity War powered its way to a whopping $2.048 Billion at the box office.


This is a 2018 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It is the sixth installment in the DC Extended Universe. It stars Jason Momoa as the title lead character, with Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman in supporting roles. The movie premiered in the US on December 21st and it has already raked in $600 Million.

Deadpool: 2

The ‘Merc with a mouth’ powered back in this David Leitch film to form the team X-Force in order to protect a young mutant from the time-traveling villain Cable. Like the first film, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool was a hoot, with the film earning $738.4 Million.

Ant-man and the Wasp

The sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man had the titular superheroes (Paul Rudd as Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly as the Wasp). The dynamic duo joined forces to come up with a fun summer family film that raked in $622.7 Million.
