This is why there might never be a collabo between Naija singers Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage

Top Afro-pop singer, Yemi Alade, has said that she might never do a music project with fellow Nigerian star Tiwa Savage.

The most popular Nigerian songstresses who have amassed influence world wide may never collaborate because of the “troubles” from their fans.

In an interview with a popular TV station, Alade said a collaboration might not attract positive reactions from the public, reported Daily Post Nigeria.

“All my life when have been choosing collaborations, it is not based on how I feel. It’s unfortunate that with the feelings and troubles that people keep stirring in our ways, it probably will never allow us to ever have a collaboration. Because you’re not sure the outcome would even be positive or be over run by negative things and all the fights.

“When we do music, we do it so people can be happy, so when we do a song together, what are we fueling? What are we encouraging? That’s the most important question when I do collaborations, there is an aim. I think what would be would be,” Alade said.

In December 2018, the two who have an unspoken beef had engaged in a heated war of words on social media, after Alade claimed some female artistes enlarge their buttocks in photos to deceive fans.

Tiwa Savage who recently released a new single dubbed ‘49-99’ as reported by The Sauce sent out a shout out to Yemi Alade and other African artists for their commendable jobs during a listening party for the song in London.

“Oh man, there’s many many queen, man. Come on, like Yemi Alade just dropped an incredible body of work, huge shout-out to her. Errrm, who doesn’t like Teni The Entertainer? Like, she’s incredible. Simi, Niniola, Waje, Omawumi. We even have Vanessa Mdee from the east, we have Becca whom I have done records with as well. And even the females from the UK, like you have Tomi… There’s so many… Lola Rae…” said Tiwa.

‘Mama Africa’ recently released an album Woman of steel which features American rapper Rick Ross in one of the songs.Yemi explains the album was as an appreciation to the woman she has become over time.
