98.4 Capital FM is taking a new, exciting direction to showcase its dynamism as a station.
A statement from Head of Radio Mr Danny Munyi indicated that the long-time popular station is taking a new route to meet it’s audience demands. “With this new direction, it is our desire to get into our listener’s hearts through timeless sound seduction and unmatched programming.”
There have been a couple of exits from the famed brand over the last year, however it seems that the station is poised to use the exits for growth. Commenting on recent exits, Munyi noted, “growth is very important whether for an individual or for the company and therefore we don’t frown upon it. Capital FM has long been the incubator of talent in the media industry.”
This new direction is set to add more sophistication and elegance to the station’s programming with new offerings in podcasts, well selected music, as well as reliable and timely, credible news with Capital Newsbeat every top of the hour.
On the 15th of February, the station will be launching an exciting brand-new Capital in the Morning and The Jam shows with a very well-crafted campaign dubbed ”Drive Inn” .
According to the statement from Mr Munyi, 98.4 Capital FM is committed to continue being your best mix of music. He added, “We will be bringing back good radio once again which you can’t find anywhere else, from the moment our audience get up, on their way driving to the office all through the day to when it’s time to pick kids from school in the evening.”
