Grammy-nominated Alpha Blondy is in Nairobi for the 27th edition of the Koroga Festival. The bi-monthly 2-day festival is hosted by the Best Mix of Music Capital FM, and this installment is set to be a great time for all the lovers of reggae music.
Cote D’Ivoire native Alpha Blondy started his career in the early 1970s, with his first release being a 9-track album dubbed ‘Jah Glory’ which was released in 1982. The biggest track from his first album was ‘Brigadier Sabari’ which propelled his career to great heights, setting him up for global success. Over 3 decades in the music industry, Alpha Blondy has earned a reputation as a peace lover, hugely religions and a man who bridged divides of race, language, and backgrounds through his music.
