‘Kainama’ by Harmonize aka Konde Boy featuring African giant Burna Boy and Simba Diamond Platnumz was released five days ago and Burna Boy impressed with his mastery of Swahili.
The song has already garnered over 1 million views on YouTube as well as bagged a top spot on the Kenyan YouTube trends.
The Kainama visuals redeemed Harmonize from his poorly done debut EP titled Afro Bongo as earlier reported by The Sauce. The four-song EP also features Nigerian songstress Yemi Alade and Uncle London, Mr.Eazi.
Well, Wasafi which is headed by Diamond Platnumz is known for producing hits and exquisitely shot music videos like the latest banger ‘Tetema’ which is getting airplay from different parts of the globe. However, with the ‘Kainama’ video, things are not as rosy and the video seems to have been a rushed job because there are a few noticeable mishaps.
In the group of girls who are dancing, the lady in the middle seems out of synch with the rest of the girls. In the umbrella scene, her umbrella refuses to open up at minute 1:52 but she goes on with the show.
The same girl at minute 2:56 all the way to minute 3:08 is struggling to put her wig back on after it fell due to her vigorous dancing.
The wig struggle did not go unnoticed as some fans on YouTube made hilarious comments about the scene while others wondered why the director did not re-do the scene or why the Wasafi team overlooked it.
Is this a failure on the Wasafi quality control team or put it up to get some controversy out of it?
