The MBA World Tour Conference coming to Nairobi for the first time

MBA tour

The MBA Tour, world-renowned international MBA information and registration service, is for the first time coming to Kenya in a bid to provide potential MBA students an opportunity to meet with top business schools around the world.

Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana are the first African countries to host this MBA service. Founded 20 years ago, beginning with events in Latin America, The MBA Tour has hosted more than 800 MBA awareness and recruiting events in over 30 countries globally, and has been to 46 different cities this year alone, providing unique opportunities for personal interaction between top business schools and potential students from all around the world.

The growing number of first degree holders in Kenya, coupled with increased demand for internationally recognized post-graduate qualifications in the global labour market, has opened the country to many institutions offering international MBA programs. The Kenyan tour will be in Nairobi on October 9 2013 to provide an opportunity for Kenyan prospective MBA students to explore study-abroad opportunities.

“We see lots of potential in Africa as another emerging market for these initiatives, and look forward to developing similar relationships and foundations in the years to come,’’ said The MBA Tour CEO and Managing Director Peter von Loesecke. According to The MBA Tour, high-profile, top MBA programs have expressed sincere interest in developing long-term recruiting efforts in African cities and the event has seen lots of potential in Africa as an emerging market for higher education.

All partner-institutions, said Von Loesecke, have been carefully selected and pre-screened by The MBA Tour Advisory Board to ensure they meet all requisite accreditation standards. The MBA remains one of the most sought-after degrees by businesses around the world as it comprises research, practical experience and theoretical components.

“The MBA Tour understands that as professionals not everyone has time to go to campus and research the schools that interest them, so we decided to bring the campus to them. Information is provided online and at campuses, but we have found that meeting admissions representatives and alumni who have completed their MBA’s have greater benefits to potential students than anything found in traditional outlets. In addition, informational sessions and panels help prospective students learn about the MBA application and admissions process,” noted Von Loesecke.

Requirements for attending this event is a university degree and two or more years working experience.  Prospective students looking to attend the event or learn more about the tour can visit the MBA Tour website www.thembatour.com.
