Kenyan songstress Nikita Kering’s new release titled ‘Ex’ is as sizzling as they come.
The sultry song is a powerful, RnB number detailing a toxic love affair that is likely to resonate with many people. ‘’You’re bitter than I could ever taste, now we’re in love and I’m F-ing wasted, I woulda held you closer if I could, ‘’ she croons.
The video is edgy and takes the song notches higher. From the transitions to the choreography, the 18-year-old songstress just proved that she is here for the long haul.
The sensual choreography in a dimly lit mansion is especially reminiscent of Ciara’s Dance Like We’re Making Love video, and it is likely that she borrowed a leaf from it.
This is the singer’s first release this year, after having a good run with a string of ballads years prior with songs like ‘Tragedy’ and ‘Never Let You Go’.
She has already snagged reputable accolades like being the youngest ever Best Female East Africa nominee and winner during the 2019 AFRIMA Awards, at just 17 years.
