Technical University on the rampage over blacklisted Engineering courses

Students at the Technical University of Kenya, former Kenya Polytechnic, have gone on the rampage to protest the blacklisting of engineering courses the college has been undertaking.
The students mainly from the engineering department blocked roads around the university, to protest a government directive that they should undertake a fresh programme which is in line with the university’s charter.
The strike inconvenienced motorists on Haille Sellasie Avenue and other adjacent roads blocked by the students.
Also affected by the new directive is the Mombasa Polytechnic Univesity College.
