Tech Talk: OPPO Kenya launches the Reno5 series with AI Mixed Portrait

Smartphone manufacturer OPPO has introduced two additions to its Reno series in the Kenyan market with the launch of the Reno5 and Reno5 F.

Reno5 features two industry firsts in the form of AI Mixed Portrait – the first double exposure video effect for smartphone – and AI Highlight Video, an industry-leading feature which uses intelligent light detection to combine OPPO’s advanced Ultra Night Video Algorithms and Live HDR Algorithms to significantly enhance video quality in dim and backlit scenes. With these features, users can quickly capture, edit, and share quality videos with ease.

Additional, the Reno5, which will be available in two colors, Fantasy Silver and Starry Black, comes with 50W Flash Charge technology – giving the fastest charging time in the market, a 90Hz AMOLED Screen, and a sleek, light design.

The Reno5 F features a 48MP main rear camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera and 2MP mono camera.The front camera on the other hand is 32MP.The device also comes with the AI Color Portrait Video and Monochrome Video features.The Reno5 which will be available in three colors – Fluid Black, Fantastic Purple and Crystal Silver, also comes with a 4310mAh battery and 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 technology.

The Reno5 will retail at Ksh41,999, while the Reno5 F, which starts selling on March 22, 2021 will retail at Ksh31,999.
