A student’s prank has gone awfully wrong.
Californian police are investigating claims that a student mixed the cremated ashes of a grandparent into a batch of cookies.
At least nine youngsters at the Da Vinci Charter Academy – which is situated to the west of Sacramento – are thought to have sampled the cookies, which are rumored to have been baked by two of their classmates.
Although nobody is said to have suffered any health issues subsequently, student Andy Knox has admitted to being horrified by what happened. He told KCRA: “I didn’t believe her until she pulled out the urn. She told me there’s a special ingredient in the cookie. I was kind of horrified.”
