Student launches find-a-toilet app

flush toilet app

You might think it’s ridiculous to download such an app, but how many times have you been caught in a ‘pressing situation’ and had to ask strangers directions to the nearest public toilet? Well, one student thought a loo-finder app is not too farfetched.

According to the Huffington Post, University student Jake Ruston’s Flush Toilet Finder app helps people find their closest lavatory as quick as a flush from a database of 100,000 public toilets worldwide, meaning you can use it here in Kenya.

This app is not only very useful helping many avoids embarrassing moments, but it is also dynamic allowing users to add locations that are not listed on the app.

Ruston, who studies at the University of East Anglia’s School of Computing, said, “I got the idea after making an app for the London underground. A lot of people were asking me to include details of toilet facilities for London, but I decided to go bigger and design something for the whole world.”

Ruston’s toilet finder app has already had more than 10,0000 downloads since it went live on 4th February, and he hopes that the app would be particularly useful to tourists and individuals who suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Cohn’s Disease.
