Strict BASATA mercilessly cracks the whip on rapper Rosa Ree for erotic video with Timmy Tdat

Bongo rapper Rosa Ree is on the receiving end of the Tanzanian government for releasing a sexually explicit video.

The ‘Dip n Whine’ hitmaker has been suspended by the Tanzania National arts council for six months over a steamy video which she released featuring Kenyan artiste Timmy Tdat.

The council according to the acting Secretary-general Onesmo Kayanda has also slapped the artiste with a fine of Tshs 2 million (Kshs 88k) for working in another country without the permission of Basata as required by regulations, Tanzanian site The Citizen reported.

“We summoned Rosa Ree and granted her a hearing. The board found her with two mistakes other than sharing explicit content online. One, she never brought the project to Basata for review and two she did not enter into a contract with the international artiste she collaborated with as per the law,” said Kayanda.

Timmy Tdat released the viral track ‘Vitamin U’ on Friday, November 1st, 2019 with girlfriend Rosa Ree. The aftermath of the release saw the twosome land in some hot water with their fans, due to the erotic contents of the video. The song forced Youtube to temporarily suspend Timmy’s Youtube account and in doing so pull down the song.

As reported by The Sauce, following the backlash, the beauty had taken to social media to share her sincere apologies after she met with the strict regulatory body BASATA.

On the other hand, an unbothered Timmy told The Sauce when the song was released that he was not concerned with public opinion. He said, “even kina Cardi B do it, so why not us.” When asked if he was worried about the KFCB regulations on the content he went to add, “we will cross that bridge when we get there.”

The track features the two artists in a bubble bath starts with a very romantic scene in the kitchen before they hit the bathroom for an extended version expressing their steamy love with romantic lyrics.

Meanwhile, as Rosa pays the brunt of releasing the ‘immoral’ video, Kenyan Timmy is seemingly going scot-free without any reprimands from the moral police Ezekiel Mutua.
