Strathmore Graduate could be TLC’s Next Great Presenter

Popular entertainment channel TLC hosted on local cable television network Dstv is looking for a new presenter. The search known as the TLC Next Great Presenter occurred across the continent with  submissions accepted from the north to the southern most part of Africa. After a great number of submissions, the shortlist narrowed down the selection to only 3 finalists. Carrisa Cupido from South Africa, Karen Paida Mukwedeya a Zimbabwean native and Kenya’s very own Charles Karumi are the candidates under consideration for the job.

The 25 year old Kenyan describes himself as ” an actor and  entertainer” he added when asked how entertaining he is,  he mentioned  “like an attractive mushroom, I’m a pretty fun guy.”  A graduate of Strathmore university and an active member of the Phoenix Players Theater, the young lad had a lot to say about his experience in readiness for the job of TLC’s Next Great Presenter. In his interview he shared his admiration for TLC star Buddy Valastro from the reality show Cake Boss and his hopes to befriend the pastry chef. Charles also went on to justify why he should land the much coveted job. He mentioned “Through this process I have learnt how to thrive on and become more accustomed to pressure – I’m ready for the next phase!”

Oozing with enthusiasm, Charles Karumi shared interesting facts about himself making it so clear his fun and quirky demeanor is perfect for television. The voting regulations allow 10 votes per person, per day with voting closing on the 15th of November.
