Stereo Fresh : Zikki jams with renowned saxophonist Dean Fraser in his latest release ‘Welcome to Kenya’

The gentle and easy Zikki is back.

The Kenyan reggae artist that shot to fame for his collaboration with Tarrus Riley on the track ‘Kamata’  last year has returned with some more great music. The June 2018 collaboration was the perfect lay-up for the release “Welcome to Kenya.” Narok County’s own Zikki, who is known for his melodious voice and mellow demeanor befittingly sings, welcoming all to his homeland.

The easy tune has a simple drum beat and is gracefully elevated by the electronic guitar and the powerful saxophone that serenades listeners mid-track. The visuals feature Zikki singing alongside award-winning Tarrus during his 2018 concert in the +254.  Produced by Shane C Brown from Jukeboxx Jamaica and the renowned a saxophonist Dean Fraser, the track’s sound quality is evident; with all instrumental and vocal aspects receiving a superb arrangement and mix.

Biaju Morris aka Zikki is among the new crop of artists redefining what good music truly means. Previously speaking of his first introduction to reggae music to local press Nation, Zikki says “my uncle came home with a Morgan Heritage concert CD and I watched it repeatedly. It inspired me.”

This track is a sure chart-topper. Do you agree?
