Mr. Seed who is known in the Gospel industry for tracks such as ‘Simama’ and ‘Asifiwe Yesu’  took a step of faith setting up his own studio dubbed ‘Starborn Empire Studios’ in early 2019. A report by The Star indicated ‘Seed revealed he was leaving EMB Records because he wanted to give other upcoming musicians chance to be nurtured and pushed by Bahati.’

According to Moses Tarus Omodi, aka Mr. Seed, the new operation which has now been running for 5 months will ‘help out artists reach their musical dreams at affordable rates.’ In an exclusive video, Seed shared a video of the Roysambu-based studio urging all interesting in making their mark on the music industry to reach out for various services.

The audio and video studio is also set to provide talent management for upcoming artists within the Kenyan market which lacks structure within the music industry. The venture kicked off earlier in 2019, but it seems that Seed is eager to make it more accessible, promoting it more widely and informing all that the studio is up and running. In a coversation with The Sauce, Mr. Seed pointed out what motivated his most recent post. He said “the studio has been there for five months now and now I wanted people to know that it is there … and it is growing everyday”. Adressing speculations that he might be moving away from music, he said, “the reason why I opened a studio was because I wanted to be flexible…I love music, music is my life.”He likened his passion for music to a car with several gears, he highlighted that the Starborn Empire Studios is only the next gear in his musical career.
