Mr. Seed is making major business moves and is set to reap greatly from his latest venture. But some might be wondering if he is plotting a career evolution from singer-songwriter to producer and talent manager. The Sauce got Seed’s thoughts on his sky-rocketing career.
Mr. Seed who is known in the Gospel industry for tracks such as ‘Simama’ and ‘Asifiwe Yesu’ took a step of faith setting up his own studio dubbed ‘Starborn Empire Studios’ in early 2019. A report by The Star indicated ‘Seed revealed he was leaving EMB Records because he wanted to give other upcoming musicians chance to be nurtured and pushed by Bahati.’
According to Moses Tarus Omodi, aka Mr. Seed, the new operation which has now been running for 5 months will ‘help out artists reach their musical dreams at affordable rates.’ In an exclusive video, Seed shared a video of the Roysambu-based studio urging all interesting in making their mark on the music industry to reach out for various services.

The audio and video studio is also set to provide talent management for upcoming artists within the Kenyan market which lacks structure within the music industry. The venture kicked off earlier in 2019, but it seems that Seed is eager to make it more accessible, promoting it more widely and informing all that the studio is up and running. Ndume was the first signee to Starborn Empire, and his first release ‘Za Yesu’ released in March 2019 garnered in 11,000 views on YouTube.
The singer-songwriter Seed was happy to share the news on social media which was well received with many fans flooding the comment section with congratulatory messages. One hailed the artist for his accomplishment saying, “Walithani ukitoka EMB records utaisha naye Mungu ni nani hua haachi watu wake go! go! go! Mr. Seed n Always put God kwanza naye atakubless congrats sana”
Seed seems to be putting more emphasis on his studio and talent management venture which has many speculating if he might be leaving his first love of music, to focus more on the music business. In a coversation with The Sauce, Mr. Seed pointed out what motivated his most recent post. He said “the studio has been there for five months now and now I wanted people to know that it is there … and it is growing everyday”. Adressing speculations that he might be moving away from music, he said, “the reason why I opened a studio was because I wanted to be flexible…I love music, music is my life.”He likened his passion for music to a car with several gears, he highlighted that the Starborn Empire Studios is only the next gear in his musical career.
Last week, Mr. Seed dropped his latest release ‘Superman’ a collaboration with his new bride Nimo. The track has been trending on YouTube, garnering 186K views online. The sweet track is set to be a favorite during wedding season.
