Following Obama’s Farewell speech, encouraging citizens to run for public office if they hope to effect change, Mombasa based musician Cannibal has flung himself into the political scene.
Welcomed into the realm of society’s elite, the “Mdude” crooner is said to be running for Member of County Assembly for Mtopanga in the 2017 elections. In a post on his Facebook account, the artist formally known as Ralph Sanda Masai is said to the running for the seat on a Jubilee ticket.
The politics of the Coastal region continues to heat up as the clash of the mega parties; Jubilee and Cord vie to please the constituents of the beautiful counties adjacent to the Indian Ocean. As Cannibal leaves music for politics, many of his fans were not reluctant in sharing their opinion on the musician’s new move.
