With that said, here are some of the tracks to enjoy this weekend.

Siri – Fena Gitu

Celebrated Kenyan musician Fena Gitu has dropped a new song dubbed ‘Siri’.

‘Siri’ is a Swahili phrase that translates to ‘Secret’, with the jam being all about keeping your secrets safe. The upbeat and catchy ‘Siri’ revolves around two ladies who have a secret affair and are trying really hard to keep it away from the public.

“Keep it between me and you Nobody affi know what we do Are we fooling around, are we cheating But your forbidden fruit so sweet I wanna scream it out loud every time you take it down low,” the song lyrics read in part.

The video is amazing and has been shot in the scenic Ibis Styles Hotel in Nairobi. The video features; Dela Maranga, Wanjira Longauer, Dr. Reign and Skinnyfilmmaker as the main acts.

No Dulling – Keche ft Kuame Eugene

Ghanian duo Keche teamed up with fellow countryman Kuami Eugene to bring fans a groovy weekend jam titled ‘No Dulling’

The track is an up-tempo party fusion of afro-pop and hiplife; a feel-good club banger, providing a stage for the vocal range and dexterity of Andrew King and Kuame Eugene, not neglecting the lyrical prowess of Joshine.

Over their sixteen-year career longevity, the duo are no strangers to hits; from pressure and
Aluguntugui to Today and Same girl, Keche has made hit making a trademark. The group is also known for their effective collaborations, working with the likes of Sarkodie, Edem, Bisa Kdai on various hits.

Monsters You Made – Burna Boy ft Chris Martin

As reported by The Sauce, the album was executively produced by veteran American rapper Diddy.

Call To Duty – Beres Hammond

Jamaican legend Beres Hammond marked his birthday on the 28th of August 2020 with a new release titled Call To Duty.

The recording features a thoughtful and moving vocal performance that builds in tempo and intensity as the chorus begins. Amidst repetitions of “fight, fight” the singer paints an intimate picture of longing for a shining world, so different than the darkness that many are experiencing today.

The song, written by Mr. Hammond and co-produced with Clive Hunt, is familiar in its social themes, yet more dramatic as it is stripped of his usual rhythmic reggae pulse. The swells of emotive chords from keyboardist Robbie Lyn are punctuated to great effect by the all-star horn section of Dean Fraser, Oshane Love and Okiel McIntyre.

The recording is both a strong statement about life amid a pandemic and a call to a shared vision of what our world can be.

Tap in remix – Saweetie ft Post Malone, Da Baby and Jack Harlow

American artists Post Malone, DaBaby and Jack Harlow are tapping in.

The three stars joined Saweetie for an infectious remix of her summer hit “Tap In.”

The new rendition keeps the thumping beat and the ICY GRL’s spitting verses of the original, with Harlow promising to “tap in, for sure” before DaBaby hops into a fiery verse dreaming of a “ghetto a– bougie b—-, the ones that wear the sundress.”
