Celebrated Kenyan music band Sauti Sol’s record label Sol Generation Records has been the talk of the town since it was recently launched.
The record label has already signed a number of musicians including; Bensoul and Nviiri.
In a tweet on Monday, Sauti Sol noted that Bensoul and Nviiri will be performing at the upcoming Hype Festival in Nairobi. “Our very own Sol Generation family (Bensoul and Nviiri) will be shutting it down at the Hype festival on the 3Oth,” the tweet read in part.”

British-Nigerian record producer Maleek Berry will also perform at the Hype Festival will take place on June 30th, 2019 at Diamond Plaza 2. The festival is expected to commence at 3pm and proceed until the wee hours of the night.
The Sol generation group made headlines in May when they released the Extravaganza music video that trended at number one YouTube for several days. As reported by The Sauce, Sol Generation music label signed fast-rising singer-songwriter Bensoul who has already released two of Kenya’s current biggest songs ‘Lucy’ and ‘Favourite Song’ as reported by The Sauce.
The dust from that had barely settled and Sol Generation has already signed three other massive music explosives. Nviiri the Storyteller, the writer of Sauti Sol’s mega-hit ‘Melanin’. Crystal Asige, #BlindGirlManenos founder with soulful jams as her latest ‘Safe’. Kakazini, a three-member all boy band famous for their acoustic love song ‘Nairobi’.
