Gospel singer Daddy Owen has opened up on his experience with Covid-19 in a long Instagram post.
The singer listed down the woes he has had to grapple with since contracting the disease, including loss of appetite, losing weight and changed eating patterns. He revealed he first figured he had Covid-19 by self-diagnosing self after feeling fatigued and later feeling a ‘weird’ taste in his mouth, and it is then that he consulted a physician.
‘’ Few days in after I started my self isolation I remember calling my mum telling her how hard it is for me just to sit and wait for the 14 days to be over without going to work and she replied and told me ‘count yourself blessed, others are in hospital right now and they don’t know if they’ll make it.’That was the moment I started to look at life differently. Btw I have lost more than 3kgs in less than 2 weeks! You know kwa mluhya when appetite decides to travel and leave u its dangerous, ” read the post in part.
He further divulged it can get hard and take a toll on one’s mental health when alone, something he may have exeperiienced firsthand. “New curveball every season, I have seen it all ths year! but through and through I still believe that my GOD has greater plans for me. GLORY AND HONOUR TO JESUS CHRIST for my healing. Finally am fine.. well.. going back to work!” he concluded.
The Vanity singer parted ways with his ex-wife Farida Wambui and she has since allegedly remarried. The singer still wears his wedding ring despite being embroiled in a divorce.
He recently opened to going through depression prior to the separation and admitted it was hard going public with his woes owing to the pressures that come with being a celebrity.
