The Strathmore Media Group (SUMG) and the Students Enterprise Program (SEP) in partnership with Infotrak Research and Consulting Ltd will be hosting the 1st “Top 25 Under 25: SU Edition” Project from the 3rd December 2012 to 13th February 2013.
The initiative is aimed at identifying and appreciating proactive youthful students and alumni who have beaten the odds and have a success story to share not only to Strathmore community but also to the entire nation.
Students, alumni and staff of SU will all have the opportunity to nominate students and alumni who they believe have excelled in various fields such as enterprise, community service, academics, leadership and sports among others. The nomination process shall entail filling in an online form provided on the SU website and the project’s social media page.
A judging panel comprising of experts from Infotrak Research shall then undertake a verification and validation process aimed at sifting through the entries and selecting the final Top 25.
Students and staff shall also be given an opportunity to vote for deserving candidates via social media although the final decision shall not entirely be based upon the outcome of the voting exercise. The final choice shall be underpinned on a candidate’s demonstration of ingenuity, outstanding performance, leadership, enterprise and significant social impact among others.
The announcement of the final Top 25 under 25 shall made on 13th February 2013 during a gala dinner at Strathmore University. Successful candidates shall be duly awarded and a full list and description shall be published in a special newsletter pullout distributed to students, staff and other stakeholders.
The initiative is sponsored by the Strathmore Media Group (SUMG) and the Students Enterprise Program (SEP) in partnership with Infotrak Research and Consulting Ltd and is open only to continuing SU students and alumni under the age of 25.
