Bewitching beauty and haunting vocals, Mombasa-born star Sanaipei Tande recently released a hit song “Amina” and the internet can not get enough of it.
Known as a radio presenter and her start in the limelight with talent search show Coca Cola Popstars, Sanaipei has been slowly getting back into the grove of things. After a long haitus from music, she came back to the fore with a collaboration with Tanzanian vixen Ray C.
Now in her solo track “Amina”, it is clear Tande is a true talent.
Her calming yet strong vocals take the Swahili track to a new level. Coupled with the video where she appears as a resplendent Mother Mary lookalike, the track is probably what Kenya needs during these turbulent times. The song that was inspired by real life events, was first released as an audio track online months ago. The video was definitely worth the wait as the themes of pain, struggle and conflict depicted in the video are relateable to all. After its release on YouTube on the 27th August, it is clear Sanapei has found favour with her fans.
