First coming into the spotlight in 2012, Sam Smith continues to grow in popularity. The 4-time Grammy award winner worked with controversial singer Logic for the remake of “Pray”. The duo presents an honest message on the complexities of life and the primal need to pray when faced with trouble. Sam Smith’s vocals are angelically backed by a choir, giving the track an deliberately orchestrated uplifting feel to it. In addition, Logic serves up lyrics of the anxious, depressed who hold out all hope for solace in prayer. It’s impossible to not listen to this track and be in your feels.
On another note, Kyle and Kehlani justed a released a collaboration titled “Playinwitme.”
The track is a playful take on the complicated dating process characterized by mixed signals, and relationship woes. The video is set up as a 90s game show. The track is not the first collaboration between the two, previously working on the track “Just a Picture” back in 2015. The track “Playinwithme” is a dope homage to the 90s and is definitely worth a listen.
