Following her recent massive solo success, RnB singer Muni (pronounced Money) Long has landed a record deal with Def Jam Recordings.
The deal came about after her independent imprint record label, SuperGiant Records, struck a deal with Def Jam. This comes hot in the heels of the success of her Public Displays of Affection EP, that spawned the platinum-certified song, Hrs and Hrs, last year.
Formerly known as Priscilla Renea, Long adopted her new moniker after a successful songwriting run penning hits for huge singers like Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Fifth Harmony. An elated Long announced the new: “It has been a lifelong goal of mine to be able to bring my gifts to the world. This alignment with Tunji [Balogun] and Def Jam for a global takeover is a literal dream come true. Supergiant Records started as an idea between myself and my husband Raysean in 2019 and over the course of the next two years we would invest, hire, strategize and create. As our team grew, so did our success, and as a result of hours and hours of hard work and intense focus, this year we reaped a bountiful harvest.”
