Donald Trump and Kim Kardashian West met up yesterday to discuss prison reforms and sentencing.
“Keeping up with the Kardashians” star Kim, went to Washington D.C to visit the President of the United States, at his seat of power in the Oval Office. The duo discussed the steps needed to implement prison reforms, and the special case of Alice Marie Johnson. Based on a tweet from POTUS, Trump was more than excited to host the entrepreneur.

This first meeting with “The Apprentice” star, Donald Trump comes after Kim caught wind of a great-grandmother Alice Marie Johnson, who was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 1997 on money laundering and drug conspiracy charges. Though it is unclear the level of engagement the reality stars will share on the matter, it seems they have surprisingly made progress.
Based on her recent tweets after the meeting, it seems mother of 3 Kim has been able to negotiate for a presidential pardon for Alice Marie Johnson who has been in prison for over 2 decades.
I would like to thank President Trump for his time this afternoon. It is our hope that the President will grant clemency to Ms. Alice Marie Johnson who is serving a life sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense.

We are optimistic about Ms. Johnson’s future and hopeful that she —and so many like her—will get a second chance at life.
