‘Love & Hip Hop’ star Erica Mena is pregnant with her first child with fiancé Safaree Samuels.
The reality TV couple announced the good news in a video on Tuesday (01.10.19). “Wow, wow, it’s a big deal! Very big deal. I didn’t know I was capable of doing this,” Samuels, 38, said while rubbing Mena’s growing belly. “I’m excited!”
He added, “I’m nervous. I’m in shock. I’m in disbelief. It’s very surreal to me. I don’t know what to do but I know I’m going to be great at what I do because I’m great at everything.”
According to E! Safaree appears to be a bit more open to sharing his baby with the world. “We’re going to be selective but at the same time, this baby will come out of the womb working,” he joked. “I was working very early. I’m about to pull a DJ Khaled. As soon as this baby comes out, we are working.”
Samuels proposed to Mena, 31, on December 2018 at her house in Atlanta. He told Page Six a month prior to getting down on one knee that he is “madly in love” with Mena, saying: “When I’m not with her, I get headaches because I’m just thinking about her nonstop.”
According to multiple reports, Samuels and Mena will be getting married next week and the cameras for their VH1 show will be rolling.
Mena is already mom to son King Conde aged 12 with ex-partner Raul Conde. Jamaican native Safaree is famed for being rapper Nicki Minaj’s ex-boyfriend aside from appearing on Love and HipHop New York and releasing songs like ‘Paradise’.
