Our day to day activities has our minds overly preoccupied,  that at times we find hard to let go. Negative thoughts keep you down, unable to focus on the bigger picture. To move forward and explore our potential we need to stop and declutter. It is important to clear out your minds from negative thoughts to truly chase success.

Here are a few items you should consider eliminating  to declutter your mind:

1. Unnecessary Deadlines
There are times you get swamped with a lot of work, some of which need to be done as soon as possible. It could be tiresome, and at times without proper planning, you might end up stressed. In the times you are certain that the work might not be completed, just relax and continue with it the next day.
It is good to meet deadlines, but we ought to be realistic and pause whenever the work is too much. Clarity is good. Don’t impose unnecessary deadlines that only causes a ridiculous amount of stress.

2. Multitasking
Being busy doesn’t always mean you are productive. Many times on may take on a lot of work that we are unable to finish. We end up here and there without having achieved anything. Create a daily ‘to do’ list plan your time appropriately. Slow down, and focus on one task at one task at a time.

3. Perfectionism
Perfection is an illusion, it’s not real. Done is better than perfect anytime. You would rather try and do something than wait till you do it perfectly.

4. Being Trapped
You are in control of your life, and you are the captain of your ship. Be in control of your emotions and any other thing that is around you. Do not feel as though you are trapped in another person’s life. Own this life and live it to the fullest. Be the best you can be, help where you can and be confident that life has no rehearsals.

5. Blaming others for your own mistakes
Blame game never helps. Relax and think things through. The only person to blame for any mistake in your life is only you. We tend to think that the only way not to hurt ourselves is by hurting others, that’s the mistake we make. We better realize that we are not perfect and we are bound to make mistakes, we are only human. Own up to your own mistakes and be the bigger and better person.

6. Pausing our happiness
You better stop postponing your joy for a new job, new boyfriend, new friends, etc. You need to be happy every moment because the next minute is not guaranteed. Pausing our happiness is only making excuses for not being happy, something that’s not realistic. Make a step to enjoying what life has provided and made the best out of it.

7. Holding on things and situations that you cannot change
Stop obsessing and holding grudges and circumstances that you cannot change. The more you hold on, the more it becomes hard to let go, and so you tend to carry a lot of baggage from the past. Make peace with the past to have a better future.

8. Self-doubt
Let go of thoughts that make you doubt yourself. You are more capable than you think. Change your thoughts and stay positive. Believe you are beautiful enough, believe you are the best and that nothing can stop you. The mind makes who you become. Refuse negativity to tell you otherwise.
