Rapper Prezzo is the latest Kenyan celebrity to go public with his political ambitions and he will try his hand at the Kibra MP seat in 2022.
The entertainer whose real name is Jackson Makini has announced his bid for Kibra parliamentary seat albeit it is too early as the constituents are preparing for the November 7th by-election.
Prezzo, who has settled on Wiper Party, was unveiled by former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka on Tuesday afternoon (10.09.19). Kalonzo exuded confidence that the musician would be victorious while insisting the move does not signal the end of NASA coalition.
Prezzo, who was accompanied by tens of youth from Kibra, promised to implement development projects if elected.
Other celebrities who have expressed interest in running for the now vacant Kibra MP seat include former international footballer McDonald Mariga running on the Jubliee ticket as reported by The Sauce. Popular disc jockey Dj Kriss Darlin who unfortunately lost his job at NTV after he announced his bid and renowned football star Dennis Oliech.
The Kibra parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of Ken Okoth in July 2019 after a long battle with Cancer as reported by The Sauce.
