Rapper Nas finally releases his anticipated short film, Nasir.
Popular American rapper Nasir Jones alias Nas on Thursday, November 15th, 2018 released the “Nasir” short film in support of his eleventh studio album by the same name. Nas, 45, shared several bits of the film which features mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs on his social media platforms.

“Nasir” the album produced by fellow rapper Kanye West features guest appearances by Pusha T, Mobb Deep’s Havoc and Chris Rock. The 16-minute clip implements vocals from each of the seven tracks featured on “Nasir” but delves deeper into peeling back the layers regarding social and economic issues severely hampering the minority communities.
Nas candidly talks on police brutality, which was a frequent theme used throughout the album on tracks such as “Cops Shot the Kid.”
The ‘I Can’ crooner has released eight consecutive platinum and multi-platinum albums and has sold over 30 million records worldwide.
In 2014, on the 20th anniversary of his debut album Illmatic he released a documentary film Nas: Time Is Illmatic that recounts the circumstances leading up to his 1994 album.
