Tap in to Professor Saweetie! The entrepreneurial rapper is perpetuating her money-making spirit with yet another major move.
In an interview with iHeart Radio, the Icy Chain hit maker divulged she is headed to the University of Southern California (USC)-her alma mater- to impart the knowledge she has gained thus far, with an inclination in branding and marketing.
The well-decorated rapper will be taking the teaching role in her quest to instill business acumen in Gen Z, and be instrumental in helping them keep up and leveraging on what is trending today. “It’s important for businesses to evolve with modern consumers, generation Z, the millennials. They’re the people spending the money,” she told iHeart.
Saweetie’s entrepreneurial abilities have seen her snag countless deals all year long. The most notable of them wall would have to be her collaboration with fast food outlet McDonalds to create the Saweetie meal, making her the first black musician to have a menu partnership with the outlet.
It should be a no-shocker that she has a knack for teaching and mentoring, if her informative Icy University YouTube series is anything to go by. Meanwhile, she has been nominated for two Grammys: Best New Artist and Best Rap Song.
