Professor Jay and Victoria Kimani appreciate women in new song

Respect, protect and love the woman.

Veteran Tanzanian rapper Professor Jay has collaborated with Kenyan songstress in his first release of 2019 in a track dedicated to women.

The song simply called ‘Woman’ is a heartwarming song praising women, Mikumi MP Joseph Haule aka Professor Jay starts the song off with praises the woman in his life with riveting Swahili lyrics. He describes this woman as being listening, humble, patient and deserving of a 21 gun salute.

“Prokoto” singer Victoria Kimani posted on Instagram saying that her fans’ mothers would love this new song and that it is the perfect time as every time to appreciate, recognize and worship women because they do everything.

Kenya’s Victoria Kimani’s melodious vocals on the chorus give the song a sweet vibe. Her lyrics describe how a woman should be treated. “Respect the woman, protect your woman, better love your woman, where would I be without your love, thank God for you,” Kimani sings.

Shot in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania the song is a body of work of that goes a long way in paying homage to women all around the world. The video also sees Victoria is dressed in a dera, headscarf, cooking 3 stones makeshift jiko, with children as well as in the market, a clear representation of the African woman.

“Woman” comes a few days after Kenyan artist Otile Brown released a new song, “Kenyan Girls” expressing his love for Kenyan girls.
