For a demonstration that was to be ‘peaceful’, it turned out to be anything but calm. The demo was peaceful until protesting students insisted in storming Jogoo house to serve Education CS with a petition. It soon turned chaotic with street battles in different parts of the city. The police backed by the dreaded GSU pushed back the defiant students to the University of Nairobi. Innocent students were caught in the crossfire as they were smoked out of main campus buildings and frog marched to waiting police trucks.
