Born Phyllis Mwihaki, Phy is no stranger to the limelight.
Known for her headscarf and her soothing voice, this 24-year-old has amassed a legion of fans since winning the talent search Maisha Superstar in 2015. Dropping her latest track “Siwezani” in September 2017, she has been out promoting the track. Though the star is small in stature, it seems that she is headed for great success, and everyone is taking notice. Currently performing in Russia at the 10th World Festival of Youth and Students, Phy is set to share the stage with international acts like One Republic and French novelist Frédéric Beigbeder.The event that began on the 15th with Russian President Vladamir Putin opening the event, is set to close on the 22nd of October 2017. Phy who shared her excitement on social media is set to rock the stage with a full Kenyan band including guitar maestro Kato Change.
