Obama’s favorite song of the year is by Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick to pimp a butterfly

Sometime back, we introduced you to President Obama’s favorite songs on Spotify. It is rich, diverse and in some ways, surprising. You will find Otis Redding’s ‘I got dreams to remember’ on the same play list with Bob Marley’s ‘So much trouble in the world’ in that presidential play list.

But in 2015, the President’s top hit is Kendrick Lamar’s ‘How Much a Dollar Cost’ from the Pimp a butterfly album, according to an interview by People Magazine.

The album was released on March 2015 by Top Dawg Entertainment and Aftermath Entertainment and features top tracks like King Kunta, Momma and Hood Politics.

Kendrick has tied with Taylor Swift in artiste with most number of nominations in the 58th annual Grammy Awards. To Pimp a Butterfly has been nominated for album of the year.
