Nigerian born Yemi Alade who rose to fame after winning a Nigerian talent search in 2009, has since risen to great heights in the continent. In their latest collaboration, Nyashinski and Yemi Alade show fans what true love looks like.
The track titled “Nakupenda” is sung in Swahili with an easy rhythmic beat. The track, laid with Yemi’s iconic melodies and Nyashinski’s clever bars is the perfect combination of a love song. Former Kleptomaniax member Nyashinski previously collaborated with the Nigerian beauty on Coke Studio in the live performance of “Mungu Pekee.” The track that saw great success is among the many tracks released by the talented rapper, who had previously been away from the spotlight for years, making his return in 2016.
Now back with a bang, Nyashinski is also nominated for an MTV European Music Award For Best African Act. The nomination is his first as a solo artist, after coming back from his long hiatus. The lyricist shared his excitement online for the nomination and even more endorsement from the MTV brand with the track Nakupenda making its debut on the channel.
