Fast rising Nigerian music star, Kendickson’s latest single titled ‘Lole’ is one for the lovers.
Kendickson who blessed our speakers in 2020 with the hit song ‘Wayo‘ is back with a new tune off his debut EP ‘Duke of Tunes’.
‘Lole’is a melodious tune balanced with sweet vocals every music listener is sure to glue on. This jam is produced from the stables of Blaise Beatz Studio.
According to Kendickson, he wanted to portray an Afro sound blended in with dance and to convey the emotions he felt, thus ‘Lole’ was born.
“Lole is a Yoruba word that means lo ile which mean follow me to the house (like you can see on the artwork me going home with the girl), so I just joined it together to make the title a bit unique, the 24-year-old singer intimated to The Sauce.
Kendickson is such a romantic and this is evident in his music. In his 2020 hit Wayo, which means cheat, the lovestruck singer begs the girl of his dreams not to cheat on him.
The young star is keen on working with Kenyan acts as well as performing in the country. “I listen to a lot of Kenyan songs. I listen to Nyashinski, Sauti Sol and Khaligraph Jones. I would love to work with any of them. I love them all,” revealed Kendickson.
Kendickson started singing officially 2011 but as a child his late dad who was a broadcaster used to take him to studio at the age of 3 to voice jingles for his programs. He attributes his dad’s career as a popular radio presenter at Radio Nigeria Enugu for influencing him to be the musician he is today.
