The weekends latest releases have been an interesting mix, here are 3 tracks you should listen to this week.
Willy Paul – Bye Bye
Willy Paul is saying ‘Bye Bye’ to all his exes and parents to tie the knot in the new song dubbed ‘Bye Bye’. Pozzee is stepping into a new point in life and leaving the single’s club. Based on the lyrics, he is excited to welcome her world into his and share it with her according to Mdundo.
The song is groovy and in true Willy Paul style, he dances through the video and is lovey-dovey throughout the visuals, leading many to question who the woman in the video might be.
Matata – Kata
It’s time to add a new birthday song to your playlists, and its all thanks to Matata. The track ‘Kata’ is a re-imagined version of the popular Kenyan birthday cheer, “Kata keki, tukule sasa.”
Matata has created a bop with this one and especially with the video. They have fully adopted the concept of surprising someone for their birthday with full house decorations, making for some very fun yet simple visuals. The video is colorful, light and brimming with positivity, as shared on Mdundo.
Bahati feat Ethic – Bambika
This collaboration is the third of Bahati’s latest gengetone releases. Previously working with Madtraxx, Mejja and the Boondocks, Bahati goes for a hattrick with this track. Empty lyrics, but a creative beat; EMB CEO is keen to ensure all neigh sayers are silenced.
The track’s overall is similar to Shaggy’s 2009 release ‘Church Heathen.’
