New Releases: Ommy Dimpoz, Khaligraph Jones kick off the new month with good vibes

Kenyan musicians have started 2020 with a bang, dropping massive hits, week in week out, in a bid to fight competition and create a name for themselves.

While so many songs have been released just a month into the new year, not all of them end up being big tunes and dominating the airwaves.

Yes Bana – Khaligraph Jones feat Bien

Khaligraph Jones is kicking off 2020 in a big way, and all we can say is  “Yes Bana”.

The new release has gone viral since its release on the 30th of January 2020. Collaborating with Sauti Sol’s Bien, the track is a straight chart-topper. Hitting more than 400K in less than a week, it seems that his audience has agreed with the real OG. He also gave a special shoutout to Nyashinski, which prompted a response that could soon have fans delighted with a mega collaboration.

Khali also pointed out that he has no beef with rapper Octopizzo. Could the OG be signaling more collaborations in the works? Only time will tell.

Ommy Dimpoz X Nandy X Khaligraph Jones X Redsan – Kata Remix

Bongo fusion track, unites Kenya’s biggest names Khaligraph Jones and Redsan, collaborating with African Princess and Ommy Dimpoz. The track premiered on YouTube on 31st January, a day after Khali’s “Yes Bana” and has since garnered over 300K.  The track is average, but it seems to hit a soft spot with the Kenyan and Tanzanian audience.

iLogos – High Table feat Fena Gitu, Naiboi and Nvirii

Renowned producer iLogos music dropped his first song of the year ‘High Table’ featuring; Fena Gitu, Naiboi, and Nviiri. The song is a big tune judging by the caliber of the artists involved in it.

It is a club banger and describes what happens on the high table in the club when the four artists get together to unwind. The transition between one verse to another is flawless, you’d think the musicians involved have been working together for years. The beats are also on point, you’ll want to listen to it over and over again.
