Netflix hosted the first ever Geeked Week that ran from the 7th to the 11th of June 2021. Fans enjoyed table reads, teaser trailers, sneak peeks and all new content coming to Netflix soon.
The free virtual event was hosted across major platforms like Facebook, Twitch, Twitter, TikTok and Youtube and celebrated all things “geeky” from exclusive news, new trailers, major announcements and first looks. More than fifty Netflix projects are lined up, so each day focused on different genres; film, comic books, fantasy, anime/animation and gaming to name a few.
Here are a few highlights:
- Lovers of the show ‘Shadow and Bone’, based on The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, got to enjoy the cast revealing that the show has been renewed for a second season.
2. Our favorite Spanish-language heist show ‘LA CASA DE PAPEL‘, aka Money Heist, is coming back for a fifth and final season. Netflix shared brand new first-look images of the final season hit show:
The 10-episode series will be released in two parts; the first five episodes will be released on September 3 and the second on December 3. Whether a sub watcher or dub watcher, get prepared for whatever antics the Professor and his gang have in store for us.
3. The ‘Umbrella Academy’ creator and showrunner, Steve Blackman, revealed all the episode titles for the shows long-awaited third season. While currently still in production in Toronto, Canada, there aren’t a lot of details out as yet, but fans can expect new characters, new plot, and possibly direct tie-ins with the comic book series.
Gamers, if you’ve played the popular run and gun game Cuphead and spent hours getting to the very end of a stage only to die a ridiculous death and start again (or just sop playing before you break something) then you’re in luck. Enjoy Cuphead while sitting back relaxing and letting him get up to all the trouble without you having to bail him out.
Watch a sneak peek of The Cuphead Show that will be coming soon!
