Nadia Mukami looks like a goddess and sounds like an angel in new release ‘Ikamate Hiyo’

Known for her catchy lyrical flow, songwriting, unique timbre and crazy runs, Nadia Mukami is making her mark on the local industry. She has come of age in this masterpiece, ‘Ikamate Hiyo.’

‘Ikamate Hiyo’ is an afro-pop song that sees Nadia Mukami move from a sweet girl pop-sound to a sultry artist. Its production consists of a synthesized arrangement and a thrusting baseline. It takes us on a journey that explores the deep sexual natures of two lovers in a metaphorical way. The song is composed of engaging lyrics, as Mukami comes off as playful and sexy as her exceptional vocals intrigue and capture audiences for the length of the 3:40 video. ‘Ikamate Hiyo was composed and written solely by Nadia Mukami, produced and mastered by Vicky Pon Dis. The music video was directed by Director Dolls and has garnered 100K views and counting since its release on August 27th, 2019.

Nadia first broke out into the local scene last year in 2018, with the release ‘Si Rahisi’. The track which 620K views on YouTube propelled her to a wider audience, now earning her a loyal following. Her collaboration with Juma Jux and Shellsy Baranotte in Coke Studio opened new horizons for her, developing her sound and exposing her to new audiences. Previously working with the likes of Arrow Bwoy and Masauti, Mukami has come of age, and the release ‘Ikamate Hiyo’ proves she can surely hold her own.
