Mr Eazi, Chronnix and Kranium to perform at Essence Fest alongside Bruno Mars and Janet Jackson

The Essence Fest 2020 is almost here and the line-up is every music lover’s dream.

The annual event which is set for July 3rd to 5th 2020, will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event boasts of having 80 of the greatest artists and performers hit the stage to thrill fans for 3 days straight. Following the announcement on social media, Janet Jackson and Bruno Mars are slated to perform on the main stage. The Grammy-winning duo have garnered quite the reputation for themselves as excellent musicians.

The 50th anniversary publication’s celebration will also see a host of reggae acts perform in the Estelle presentation “Reggae and Afro beats Link Up”. The acts performing include Chronnix, Kranium, Elephant Man, Maxi Priest, Afro B and Shensee will engage the crowd in the reggae and dance-hall sounds of Jamiaca.

Nigerian Mr Eazi, Nigerian American Umi and Haitian American act Teamarr will also feature in the celebrations as some of the fast rising stars to take over the industry. Fan favorites Summer Walker, Ari Lennox, talented instrumentalist Masego as well as veteran rapper-producer Swizz Beats are also set to hit the stage.

Gold Link, Jidenna as well as rising star Kiana Lede will also perform on the Super Lounge stage.

As reported by The Sauce, Kenyan group Sauti Sol graced the Essence Fest stage last year. The annual event began in 1995 and has gained the reputation for being ” a party with a purpose” bringing together Africans in the diaspora to celebrate culture and art.
