No Time To Die the final instalment to Daniel Craig’s James Bond franchise finally premiered on October 1st 2021 after months of waiting due to COVID-19 restrictions.
It’s been a rollercoaster through the prior films; hits and misses, but No Time To Die delivers a perfect comfortable sweet-spot.
When news of a new Bond came out, fans were not thrilled, his appearance didn’t match up to the previous Bond stars. Needless to say, there was a lot of controversy surrounding Daniel Craig’s casting, but he went on to give excellent performances.
After Bond retired at the end of Spectre, we find him on a romantic holiday with Madeleine Swann played by Léa Seydoux. Their romance is short-lived, as their past returns to haunt them.
Bond is forced to get back into active duty as a new global viral threat looms in the form of DNA targeting nanobots and is met with the new 007 – Nomi, played by Lashana Lynch.
Hollywood is trying to “check the boxes” when it comes to diverse casting these days, so they didn’t hold back with trying to cast a female Person of Color as the new 007.
The film sees the return of the villain behind Spectre, Ernst Blofeld played by Christoph Waltz and introduces a new terrifying villain, a newcomer to the franchise, Rami Malek, who plays the intelligent and vengeful Lyutsifer Safin.

Daniel Craig’s performance as James Bond in No Time To Die brings intense revenge plots, coming to terms with the past, high-tech gadgetry, the much missed Aston Martin and familial plot points that lend heavily to Bonds final heroic, unselfish and tragic motivations.
Now that Craig’s time has come to an end, there’s speculation as to who will take up the role; Lashana Lynch, Tom hardy, Rege-Jean Page and Henry Cavil are possible contenders but we have to wait until the official announcement is made.
