Moi University-Main Campus has been closed indefinitely.
The Eldoret-based Main Campus has been closed, with students urged to vacate the premises according to a directive from Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kimengi. The circular that has made its rounds on social media states that the closure of the institution is due to the “gross misconduct, destruction of property and the harassment and injury of University officers” during recent unrests lead by students.
The most recent unrests were due to students protests siting an increase in tuition fees as well as poor varsity management. Students are currently packing their bags, as riot police lob teargas to disperse angry rioters. According to the institution’s social media accounts, the administration is on a mission to build a new.
The secret of CHANGE is to FOCUS all of your energies NOT in fighting the old, but in building the NEW- Socrates.
