In just four weeks, five-time Grammy awards winner, Missy Elliot will be inducted into the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame.
According to CNN, the event will take place on June 13, 2019, and the rapper will be ranked as the third most successful female to be inducted into that category. But that is not the only bag of goodies the singer has in hand.
On Saturday (10.05.2019), Missy Elliot was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Music degree from Berklee College of Music and anyone who has knows the elite music schools understands that this is a big deal. “This year’s honorary doctorate recipients are being recognized for their achievements and influences in music, and for their enduring global impact,” read the statement from the school.
Missy took to Instagram to share the new accolade, proudly showing off the Doctorate degree she received.
