Miss World Kenya’s Beauty with a Purpose Project ranks within top 15

 Finali Galaiya is doing her part to represent the +254 as Miss World Kenya.

The Kenyan representative to the Miss World beauty pageant currently underway in Sanya, China has been making great inroads in the preliminary stages into being among the finalists of the world-renowned competition. According to reports, Finali’s Beauty With a Purpose project on the HIV scarge and widow cleansing in Kenya has been shortlisted into the top 15 within the competition. She also topped the Miss World Tourism Video challenge and led within the multimedia rankings.

“Beauty With A Purpose” Miss World is not only the biggest stage in pageantry, but since 1972, Julia Morley's introduction of ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ has become the impetus for global humanitarianism. The second place was tied between New Zealand and Indonesia. The other top place earners were: Chile, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, New Zealand, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago and Vietnam. Ms. Galaiya who is part of the pageant will be among the many beauty queens on the televised competition set to walk across the stage and compete for the international title on 8th December 2018. Galaiya who was a shocking choice as the Kenyan representative has made history as the first Miss World Kenya of Indian descent. The bubbly personality was the former Miss India Kenya and is a local television presenter.
