Melissa McCarthy And Dwayne Johnson Ready To Rock At SNL

Melissa McCarthy and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson are to host ‘Saturday Night Live’ again.

The ‘Ghostbusters’ actress, who delighted audiences with her comic take on White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer earlier this season, will return to the show on May 13, 15 months after she last served as host.

Meanwhile, ‘Baywatch’ star Dwayne – who last hosted in March 2015 – will close the current season on May 20. And Jimmy Fallon will front the sketch show on April 15, with Chris Pine taking over on May 6.
NBC also announced that, for the first time ever, all four of the episodes will air live in all time zones across the US. This means it will air in its usual 11.30pm slot in the Eastern time zone, but earlier than it normally does in the other three time zones.

Melissa is likely to take her family to the show with her as she recently admitted she feels “real weird” when her kids Georgette, six, and nine-year-old Vivian are not with her and husband Ben Falcone. Speaking of her film ‘Life of the Party’ – which was directed by Ben – she said: “They’re in it because they are always on set. I like them to know that when we are here and not with them that we are actually working. I do think sometimes it’s good to come and see. We pick up and move like a tribe. We don’t separate well. I get real weird without Ben and the kids. I get real squirrely. It’s too quiet … After 45 minutes of quiet I’m like, ‘Where is everybody?’”

And the 46-year-old actress really enjoyed having her dad and her father in law make cameos in the movie. She said: “It’s a little surreal to have my dad and then my father-in-law yelling at Maya Rudolph and I in the scene, but it’s really funny because they are getting into it. The more we do it, the longer their improvs get. I’m like, ‘Alright guys, wrap it up.’ ”
