Meek Mill, DJ Khaled and Cardi B react to Coronavirus Lock down in the US

The coronavirus epidemic has everyone on edge in the United States of America including your favorite rappers.

Meek Mill is convinced he caught coronavirus at Christmas.

The 32-year-old rapper has revealed he was “extremely sick” with “flu-like symptoms” around the festive period and, although he never got a in-depth diagnosis from doctors, he thinks he may have been battling the deadly virus.

Taking to his Twitter account on Tuesday (24.03.20), he said: “I was extremely sick in December around Christmas time with flu like symptoms…”

Meanwhile, DJ Khaled is trying to workout every morning now he’s in isolation.

The ‘Wild Thoughts’ hit maker has admitted he hasn’t been to the gym for a while and is determined to put exercise back into his routine now that he’s spending most of his time at home eating and watching TV due to the coronavirus crisis.

Taking to his Instagram account, he said: “Back at it, back at it! I guess while we’re all at our houses and cribs, we’re all going to be eating a lot. It is what it is, we’re all going to be eating a lot. We need to be honest with ourselves, watching a lot of TV. “We’re going to have to put a workout into our routine as well so every morning I’m going to get it in. Let’s go.”

The 44-year-old Weight Watchers ambassador has also gone to urge fans to stay home to stop the spread of the virus.

Cardi B has also taken to the Gram to comment on the sad state of affairs within the American healthcare system. She pointed out that Pres. Trump’s approach to testing only serves the upper middle class, neglecting the health and well-being of the poor.

She went on to say, “Coronavirus is very real…I know somebody who was told that they had to be sick for 8 days if they are under 30 before they could get the test for coronavirus.” Currently the United States health-workers are re-using masks and in a race to improve the availability of respiratory equipment in order to deal with the large numbers of the sick.

A number of celebrities have caught the illness since it began to spread outside of Wuhan, China – where it originated from – at the beginning of the year and a few older stars have sadly died as a result of complications from the virus.

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson revealed earlier this month that they tested positive for the virus as earlier reported – which has killed over 16,000 worldwide – but they appear to be coming out of the other side now and have stressed the importance of isolation.

Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba have also tested positive for the virus.

The 47-year-old actor said recently: “My wife and I felt like it was the right thing to do, to share it with you guys. Right now though, I am feeling okay. Woke up this morning, didn’t have any symptoms. My voice is a little tired … checking my fever twice a day. Feel good, feel okay. Been doing a lot of reading about it. You know, asymptomatic is what comes up.”

The number of COVID-19 cases are on the rise all across America. According to a recent report on CNN, about 40 people who attended a farewell party in Connecticut in early March were exposed to Covid-19 after a party-goer was confirmed to have the virus.
