Magical Kenya logo on The Lion King’s London premiere banner excites Kenyans

Kenyans online are overjoyed after spotting the Magical Kenya logo on ‘The Lion King’ backdrop banner during the London premiere of the film.

The London premiere of the 2019 Disney classic remake happened last night (14.07.19) in London and when pictures were uploaded on various social media platforms Kenyans could not help but notice the Magical Kenya logo on the yellow banner that was the background of almost every photo from the event.

Many Kenyan social media users went ahead to praise the Magical Kenya team for the good job of identifying the perfect way of putting Kenya on the map by sponsoring the movie premiere. This made Magical Kenya a top trending topic in Kenya on Monday (15.07.19).

According to the National Geographic, the much-anticipated film was inspired by the Hell’s Gate National Park in the Great Rift Valley, Naivasha, Kenya which is known for its scenic sights, wildlife, rock climbing, cycling and the home of the real ‘Pride Rock’ in the film.

The event was attended by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, music power couple Jay Z and Beyonce who voices the character of Nala in the remake, legendary Brit singer Sir Elton John, Canadian actor Seth Rogen and American artist Pharell Williams among many others.

The Lion King is a 2019 American photorealistic computer-animated musical drama film directed and produced by Jon Favreau, with a screenplay written by Jeff Nathanson, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures. It is a photorealistic computer-animated remake of Disney’s traditionally animated 1994 film of the same name. The film stars the voices of Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, Billy Eichner, John Kani, John Oliver and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, as well as James Earl Jones reprising his original role as Mufasa.

The 2019 Lion King remake will officially premiere on the 19th July 2019.
